Thank you too for this post. It means a lot to me.
Your words paint a picture, but also reveal your heart... the pain and the leaning into Christ.
Over and over the past few days I have heard the phrase leaning into Christ, leaning hard into God, leaning in so hard to God that there is no way you can fall... this was just another reminder...

You wrote:
"God's love for us and his excellent grace provide us with everything we need. Through His bountiful blessings, we find contentment and peace in every trial and situation. His Holy Spirit teaches us, through the word of God, through the circumstances of our lives, and our relationships, how to endure hardships, financial trials, and discontent."

It is that perseverance and endurance I am going through now... really needing to learn.
I probably could re-write your whole post right here!
It touched my heart right where it hurts tonight.
Thank you for allowing God to speak through you.
God bless,
Heather - On the road...Heather - On the Road...https://www.blogger.com/profile/07683927194494117493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-115654094121749505.post-27718083307040430152009-03-25T22:13:00.000-05:002009-03-25T22:13:00.000-05:00Thank you for such encouraging words. It's our hearts that we want filled and nothing can fill it like the love of God. I've known my own fair share of "less than" living conditions; still and yet, you've made yours sound so perfect. I wish that I was better at making my parsonage a home for my family. Actually, I wish that you would write more about being a "parson's wife." So many of us need your wisdom, dear friend. I only wish you had a picture to go with this painting of words.

El Roi, the God who sees. Even as He saw Hagar, He sees me. Again during the time I was treated for cancer. I experienced a closeness with our Lord that is still difficult for me to describe.

Thank you for sharing this, it was a blessing to read.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16140046660664590895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-115654094121749505.post-56927884499646836082009-03-23T19:16:00.000-05:002009-03-23T19:16:00.000-05:00What an amazing story. Like you, she remained faithful and used these lessons to grow closer to the Lord. Thank you for sharing this today!Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08788724686085310730noreply@blogger.com
